Seven Queen's Canopy Trees Planted in Luddington

Seven trees have been planted on the road out of Luddington, Warwickshire as part of the Queen's Green Canopy initiative.

Stratford district Councillor Manuela Perteghella, along with Stuart Keighley (Luddington Parish Council) and other parish councillors and residents planted four elms and three acres - a tree for each decade of the Queen's 70 year reign.

Councillor Perteghella commented "I am delighted to be part of this initiative by Luddington Parish Council. Not only is this a wonderful legacy to remember Queen Elizabeth but it is also supporting efforts to tackle the climate crisis we face"

The planting was supported by Warwickshire County Forestry

This video with Stuart Keighley (Luddington Parish Council) and District Councillor Manuela Perteghella explains in details the initiative on the day the last tree was ceremonially planted along with the plaque.
